Wecome to Mesothelioma Review

Mesothelioma is one of the most dangerous cancers in the world today. There are several factors that make it one of the most dreadful diseases for the common man as well as a grave challenge for the medical community. One of these factors is that the symptoms of mesothelioma are not at all specific to this cancer alone. Most of the symptoms of this cancer are similar to the symptoms of the other well known diseases. As a result even if the patient is showing some signs of suffering from this cancer, the doctor might not be able to diagnose it as such. Another factor that makes this cancer all the more dreadful is that the asbestos fiber that is the main cause of this cancer has a long latency period and remains dormant inside the human body for as long as 30 to 40 years. Only after such a long time gap does the asbestos fiber starts interfering with the functioning of the mesothelial cells that leads to the formation of the cancerous cells.

There is still no permanents cure for the cancer of mesothelioma. The best that the medical community can do for the person diagnosed with this cancer is to make the remaining life span of the patient all the more pain free and easy. The medical community is doing its best to find a permanent cure for this cancer. As of yet there are a few treatment methods that hold a promise for the future. But none of them can be comprehensively considered as a permanent cure for the cancer. The traditional treatment methods that have proven successful in treating the other types of cancer have not proved successful in tackling mesothelioma. A combination of treatment methods like radiation, chemotherapy, and surgery are used in making the life of the patient more comfortable and pain free. On many occasions the physicians also suggest the patients to follow some of the alternative treatment methods like aroma therapy, ayurveda, herbal therapy etc. along with the conventional treatment methods. In many cases the patients opt for these alternative treatment methods only as they offer a more holistic approach towards the treatment of this cancer.

Mesothelioma is one of the most threatening diseases in the world today. It is time that the medical practitioners as well as the common man become more aware of their right to information.
